A visit to Ephesus – once the commercial centre of the ancient world – is a must-do of any visit to Turkey. The city, whose wealth and patronage supported its splendid architectural program, was dedicated to the goddess Artemis. The enormous Temple of Artemis, once considered one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World and rebuilt several times, dates in its latest form from the third century B.C. The tour of the ruins also includes a theatre, gymnasium, agora and baths, as well as the Library of Celsus. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 3 – Kusadasi & Daily Trip to Turkish Village Sirince
(Breakfast and dinner included)
After breakfast, we depart for the traditional Turkish Village tour. Sirince’s construction style today belongs to Anatolian Greeks. The houses on the slopes of the settlement exist today in their original state with their white painted walls. Enjoy the breathtaking views at entrance of the village and experience the lively village streets. Sirince is popular for its unique building style, houses, streets and authentic apple wine made by the villagers. In 1922 the Anatolian Greeks immigrated back to Greece and the Turks settled here in place. There are ancient remains of 42 Churches and Monasteries in and around the village. Sirince is also known as Ephesus in the mountains. The two churches in the village centre are particularly well preserved dating back to Anatolian Greek times. On your return to your hotel in Kusadasi, you will have the opportunity to experience a Turkish Bath which is one of the oldest cultural practices of Anatolia. After having dinner at your hotel, you will have the free time to stroll in the city.

DAY 6:FLIGHT TO CAPPADOCIA
Overnight in Cappadocia

Day 7 Cappadocia
(Breakfast and lunch included)
The Cappadocia region, famous for its ancient underground cities hewn into the soft volcanic rock ‘tuff‘, is the place where nature and history have come together most beautifully. While geographic events formed huge stone mushrooms known as ‘peribacalari’ (fairy chimneys), local communities were responsible for carving and decorating houses, dovecotes and churches within these earthen pillars. Surrounding the fairy chimmneys are soft ridges, deep valleys, acute edges and mild undulations all created out of tuff. Our guided tour will start at 09:30 and covers Avcilar, Pigeon Valley, Uchisar Castle and the pottery village of Avanos. We have a lunch break in Avanos and then tour the Dervent Valley and Goreme valley. Return to your hotel for dinner. Overnight in Authentic Cave Suite Hotel.

Day 8 – Cappadocia – Istanbul
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
We depart for one of the most interesting sites of Cappadocia:  Underground City. The Christians hide from the armies of Rome and the raids of hostile tribes in these self sufficient cities in which there were halls for stocks of crop, barns, rooms, kitchens & ventilation channels. This afternoon we will depart for Kayseri Airport to catch our domestic flight for Istanbul. Check in to your hotel. Free night. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 9 – Istanbul City Tour
(Breakfast included)
We depart at 09:00 for the Istanbul City Tour. We will begin with ancient Hippodrome, which was the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments: the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. We will then continue with Sultanahmet Mosque across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet. It is also known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles we then arrive to our last stop, which is the famous Hagia Sophia. This ancient basilica, built by Constantine the Great in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century, is one of the architectural marvels of all time. After the tour you have the option to make a shopping tour in which you will be aware of the ancient arts of Turkey like carpet weaving, leather manufacturing and jewellery.
